Well, due to the amazing public outcry, I have relented and taken some photos of my office… although I did it at the end of the day, and so they are a bit dark. Nonetheless, you will be able to see the small room where I spend my days now that I am gainfully employed.
Haven’t really had a chance to personalize it, but there are some pictures up, and I got a plant, and my skateboard as you can see…
The Clock tower is Oakland City Hall, and the green tower at the bottom of the shot is part of Oakland City Center, which is a lively outdoor shopping and eating area right in the heart of down town. I can see up to UC Berkeley past City Hall too.
This view is the Tribune Tower (partially blocked) and Lake Merritt in the background. It was getting dark and a bit foggy.
So now that you are all boggled by my work, we’ll talk about cars. Today Lex and I spent 3 or 4 hours at car dealers. We looked at the Honda Element, the Honda CRV, Scion xB, the Toyota Matrix, and the Subaru Impreza. The Element was very boxy, and VERY roomy inside, with lots of little storage areas and perks for people like us… the back seats fold up against the walls or come out, or lay flat along with the front seats to make a double sized bed like thing. It drives fine, and has some power (166hp from a 2.3 liter), but it wasn’t quick from 55-65.
